Hi everyone
This year's pilgrimage is over, and I must say I enjoyed every moment. It was nice to meet and talk to people who shared a connection with the battlefields, either as a veteran or as a relative or friend of one. I hope I didn't keep too many of you from your sleep on the bus.
Since getting back I have had the pleasure of receiving copies of my book, at long last. I'm only sorry I didn't have it in time to bring with me on tour. If you have a look at the books section of this site you will find a blurb and a link to the publisher's website. Remember that all those of you who took the advertising brochure off me have to buy one. Them's the rules!
I also found out a little more about the BBC programme we were supposed to have been involved in. It's called 'Dig WW2' and is fronted by Dan Snow. They did two 'digs' in the Liri valley on the Hitler Line defences, cleaning up a Pantherturm base (below) and a Tobruk, two of the many concrete defensive positions attacked by the Canadians in May 1944.

While they did say they were going to interview our vets, they found another group instead. Shame they didn't communicate this better. The show is still in production so I don't know when it'll be on the TV.
Judi and I have also been checking out what is required to get this site active again and if you are reading this we have got at least part of it to work. We had to clear out 4000 spurious 'members' and these are still being added at a rate of about 50 a day! Let's hope we can find a way to improve the security on the site a little, and get your contributions rolling again.
Regards
Perry Rowe
